There was very strong representation of the World Federation at the August 2023 Asian-Oceanian Congress of Neuroradiology in Singapore. Five members of the Executive Committee were present, with leading presentational roles.

Importantly, the Congress helped the Federation to strengthen its engagement with our members in Asia-Oceania, and to discuss how we can best collaborate and build meaningful partnerships in the future.

Four ExCom members were invited to present to the Executive Committee of the Asian-Oceanian Society of Neck & Head / Neuroradiology Society (AOSNHNR) with encouraging conversations to plan for the future.

Our President, Wan-Yuo Guo, presented a paper detailing his work planning an infrastructure for the application of artificial intelligence in Taiwan. President-Elect, Daniel Birchall, and ExCom committee member Paul Parizel were key Plenary Speakers, Daniel talking on perceptual inattention in Radiology and Paul presenting an innovative SWOT analysis about the future of Neuroradiology. All lectures were well received.

Committee member and ESNR President, Tarek Yousry, presented an invitation to attend the Symposium Neuroradiologicum 2026 to be held in London. Tarek and Past-President of the World Federation, Turgut Tali, then presented an invitation to an innovative collaborative conference to be co-hosted by ESNR and AOSNHNR in Istanbul in 2024.

Two travelling fellows, sponsored by the World Federation, Drs Gehani and Gorolay, were also in attendance at the Congress, both of whom had poster presentations.

Most importantly, the 2023 Singapore conference helped the Federation to continue to build friendly collaborations with member societies in a key part of the Neuroradiology world. Special thanks are due to Professors Lim and Chan in Singapore for their kind invitations and hospitality.
